Sizewise Grows Clinical Staff with Addition of Thibault to Education Team

Kansas City – April 6, 2010 – Sizewise, a growing and diversified medical manufacturer, today announced that Erica Thibault - MS, RN, CNS, APN, CWON, has joined its education department as the company’s newest Clinical Liaison. Thibault comes to Sizewise from Centura Health in Colorado. She will be focusing on the design and development of clinical research and programs that will advance the knowledge and needs of the facilities, caregivers and patients that Sizewise serves.

“Erica couldn’t be a better match for Sizewise given her education and training as an RN, CWON and her practical experience in recommending products that meet the needs of patients and caregivers alike,” said Trever Frickey, chief operating officer at Sizewise.

Thibault is also a Nursing Research PhD candidate specializing in pressure ulcer prevention. At Centura, she served as a practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher and program manager. She was the lead nurse for obstructive sleep apnea and her OSA policy, screening tool, order set and documentation was highlighted by The Joint Commission as a best practice in the United States. Thibault also was a member of a number of hospital committees, including the diabetes clinical effective team and the institutional review board. In addition, she has worked as a nurse in the enterostomal therapy department and served in the general surgery, trauma and transplant departments at McGill-Montreal General Hospital.

Publications/Affiliations/Education.
Thibault has organized conferences, been a featured speaker and facilitated wound care fairs in addition to publishing a number of articles, posters and presentations. She has associations with: the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse Society; the American Nurses Association; the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists; the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses; the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing. She also is a content reviewer for the wound-care chapters in the sixth edition of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Procedure Manual for Critical Care.
 
Thibault has her Diplome Education Collegiale (DEC) in Nursing from Dawson College in Montreal, Quebec and  graduated magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She followed that up with her certification in Wound, Ostomy and Continence from Albany Medical Center in New York, after which she completed a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with a Medical/Surgical option.
